VLC Player is an open-source, free (can you tell that I like open-source yet?) media player, like Windows Media Player or Quicktime. It’s strength is that it can play almost everything you can throw at it, without the need for codecs.

This includes audio and video, both downloaded and streaming.

You can get custom Windows themes, or visual styles, icons, and skins for most of your programs.

Installing Mac OS X on a Windows PC

When Apple moved over to Intel CPU’s, the Mac was rewritten for the Intel structure. As a result, the OS, with some hacking, could work on a Windows PC.

The main issue with this this is the lack of driver support, since Mac hardware is hand picked.
