Mozilla Firefox 3When I got a Mac, one of the first things I did was download Firefox. I had used it exclusively on Windows since 1.0 so it was natural to keep using it. Along the way, I stumbled onto Webkit, which promised faster speeds. It did seem faster, both rending pages and starting up so I stuck with it. After the hundredth time it crashed, I switched over to Safari, which is based on Webkit. It crashed less but it had a bad habit of slowing down to a crawl. Back to Firefox I went.

recession chartApparently we're in a recession. Reports are coming out every day of how shoppers will be spending a lot less this Christmas (or "holiday season" for the delisuional). Along with these reports comes other reports of companies slashing prices like never before to compensate. I haven't seen any of these drastic sales so when Amazon sent me a reminder email to take advantage.

Video playback on iPodsI have noticed that besides us geeks, mainstream owners of iPhones and iPods don't watch a lot of videos on their devices, either because they don't want to or they don't know how. I tend to believe it's due to the latter.

While I don't tend to watch full length movies on my iPhone, I do enjoy catching up on shows on the bus or in bed as I fall asleep.

Why is blogging important? Every time I meet a new client, I ask them if know what a blog is. In most cases, they've heard of blogs but don't really know how or why they're used, other than the fact that everyone needs one. Let's start there. A blog is short for weblog, or web-log. I remember the first time that I hear the word blog: I didn't like it and didn't understand it.
